Street Characters is a collection of lost gloves found on the streets of New York City. Each glove was torn apart, manipulated, sewn and stuffed, to create a unique character, often silly, taking on a life on its own. The material, color and texture of the garments were dictating the character they will embody.
All together the gloves figures represent a micro-society made out of a variety of bold personalities at times sexual, naughty, funny and sad.
Street Characters was made possible by the passive contribution and participation of hundred of people who lost their personal garment in public spaces.
