For the Greek Consulate’s immigration office in NYC, I created a textile-based piece mixing found objects and found materials. Several characters are evolving in and occupying this unstable and fragile-looking labyrinth. Passage refers to the journey of going through one stage, geographical, corporeal and emotional - to the other.

For Museum Without Building: A Project by Yona Friedman (EFA Project Space,
2019), I created several boxes or containers that allude to the layout of a house. Obscure and ill-defined characters occupy and are contained by these unstable and fragile structures. Made with found fabric, found objects and refuse, these precarious architectures and figures blend, bordering on abstraction. Each room/box carries mental images born from personal and collective experiences that relate to the question of home and the sense of belonging.
